Balancing Update

We hope you are doing well. Due to the global epidemic, we’ve transitioned to working remotely, but that shouldn’t have a significant impact on our roadmap schedule. Today we are happy to announce the latest Secret Neighbor update.

As suggested by many of you, this time, in order to improve your in-game experience, we have concentrated our focus mainly on balance. The other thing we've improved is performance — the game should run slightly better now.

Based on your feedback we’ve decided to decrease the stun duration in order to incentivize players to avoid Neighbor more, instead of engaging head-on.

Based on the statistics, Inventor is not very appealing to the majority of players. That was a surprise to us, since Inventor has some pretty powerful abilities. However, now Inventor is stronger than ever, and we hope it will see more play. Here’s what changed:

  • New Inventor crafting UI
  • Inventor is now able to craft keycards for the first and second stage doors
  • The rifle now costs 10 gears instead of 5, but there are almost twice as many gears on the map
Leader class

Leader also remains an unpopular choice according to our statistical data, which is why we added a few more abilities to power up the character and emphasize her supportive nature.

  • Leader can remove teammates' debuffs, including knock, stun, blinding, slow down, smoke grenade damage, etc.
  • Leader’s stun duration is cut by 50%
